Making Pillows is the blog for Sachi Organics. This is just a little look into what we do, how we do it and what gets us excited. Our pillows are made from certified organic raw materials that are grown and produced in America. Our family has been professionally manufacturing buckwheat hull pillows for over 30 years.

Autumn in Santa Fe
We are having a beautiful autumn here in Santa Fe. The air is crisp, and leaves are changing colors. Vivid yellows flutter alongside the brilliant reds and oranges while the maroons and greens complement the magnificent autumnal display.
The nights have been below freezing, and we can feel that we’re entering into the coldest months of the year. We daydream about hot soup next to the fireplace after a brisk and invigorating walk in the woods and I can just imagine myself snuggling up against my wooly bolas pillow sipping a cup of hot tea while reading a book and feeling utterly happy and comfortable! The enjoyment of crisp days and cold nights are made more pleasurable with squishy bouncy cuddly wooly bolas pillows.
These resilient little balls of certified organic wool from the Wool Gatherer in California make the most perfect and most comfortable reading and/or sleeping companion and not just on cold nights but all year round because of the incredible properties of wool! Wool creates an atmosphere of warmth around the body in the winter and cools the body in the summer. Who could ask for more from a natural fiber? No wonder wool has been called the Golden Fleece – a prized and sought after fiber throughout history. And currently, we are aware of its hypoallergenic properties and of the fact
that is it highly resistant to dust mites.
I am so glad that we are making these pillows so that others can also enjoy the benefits of these wonderful wooly bolas and increase their enjoyment of this lovely autumn and upcoming winter. We make them in all sizes (travel, standard, queen, king) with a zipper so the fill level can be adjusted and customized for the ultimate comfort. We also sell these fabulous bolas by the half pound for those who need more. For more information about our wolly bola pillows please visit our website.
